Chelsea also want to become a great force of women in the game because they are men, and quickly. Their new manager Steve Jones, recruited the Premier League champions Arsenal during the close season and two of England brightest young stars, striker Lianne Sanderson and defender Anita Asante, gave him even one or two seasons to make the Blues winners.


Jones, who was responsible for the Arsenal reserve team, not lacking in confidence. He said: “We have a plan to be competing on level terms with Arsenal both on and off the pitch. We have a number of new faces on management and on the side Thursday that we are not is not an overnight success, but I think we are moving in the right direction and I am convinced that we can achieve our objectives. ” Chelsea certainly made a good start of the campaign, winning their first three games. “Now, with all the problems that we are four points out of first place in the league, we are in the next round of the Champions League, and we are in the Carling Cup final. Happy I am,” he added.

Stamford Bridge

Chelsea only ever had one ground at the house, bridge of Stamford, where they played since the base. It was officially open on April 28, 1877.
